But following through is effort. We’ve all seen values like this section here littered over corporate websites. Sometimes there’s true commitment, often times it’s lip service. While we acknowledge it’s easy to write anything we want here, having follow-through codified as a value helps us remember that values can’t be cheap — they require thoughtful understanding and execution.
Deadlines always loom, a lot is often at stake, but if we forget to have fun, what’s the frickin' point? Work takes up so much of our lives that we must remember to have fun and not always take ourselves too seriously.
No matter how big the company, there are always limited resources and limited time. Focusing those resources on gaining knowledge is what we believe drives success. Every potential feature is a hypothesis, and learning fast means winning. And this extends to failures — we understand that failing can sometimes be instrumental to learning.
